About Me
My Journey to UX Design

With a Family Studies degree and a techy art-head, I make a unique solution-finder for individuals, families and children as I understand the psychology of empathy. For me, as a UX designer, problems are the best opportunities. I love to ride my horses in the mountains, play in the dirt, and I have the best tomatoes!

Path to UX
01

Art & Design Training

Three full-time years of art and design at the University of Utah gave me a love for the arts and making things visually pleasing

03

BS Marriage & Family Studies

As a student in the psychology-related degree, I will be certified as a CFLE (Certified Family Life Educator) in the core competencies of family law, family public policy, diversity, communication, problem-solving and anger/conflict resolution.

02

Foster Parent

As a foster parent for 12 years, I learned to advocate for children and work with a team of professionals in emotionally-charged environments. Although some team members were difficult, I learned important communication and diffusion skills.

04

Career-Foundry UX Design Certificate

CareerFoundry , a mentor-led, project-based comprehensive UX and UI certification, gave me proficiency in wireframing, user testing, UX research, client consideration, prototyping, high fidelity designs, and mockups. Presentation skills and professionalism were required with high standards.  With my UI specialization, I am proficient at creating design systems, components, iconograpy, typography, responsiveness, and branding.
